Jen's predictions for 2025

New digital ways for rating experiences and awarding excellence will emerge. These will be independently run for the sole-purpose of improving standards, initiated and run by enthusiasts, or concerned groups. For a long time Twitter was a space that customer service teams and marketing could not ignore. People powered conversations around a hashtag. Whilst these platforms have become no-go zones for many, there is a huge void for consumers who want to share.

Being hacked will become less taboo. Personal vulnerability online is something we are finally getting more serious about. It is easy to feel vulnerable and foolish for clicking the link, buying the scam and having your data robbed. This digital mugging is something people will talk more freely about instead of feeling embarrassed. There is safety in numbers and you are not alone in being targeted. Online scamming is one the fastest growing categories of crime in 2024.

Digital citizenship will take on a new era. Third generation influencers who have watched and learned from the evolution of early influencers will take to the internet and be thrive whilst protecting their privacy and time. We know the far reaching impacts of cyber bulling and trolls but parents will be more conscious of their role in getting their kids bullied. You might want to be 'found on Google' but your kids don't want that to happen. Trust me. Prolific posting to feed a machine is out, not only because it is bad for you, it also annoys your connections. I predict routine posting at expected times will becoming more fashionable.

User Generated Content is only going to get better. Big budgets and cumbersome editing is a thing of the past. A little bit of confidence and enthusiasm to share your area of specialism is all that is needed. Digital libraries for authenticating content, labelling it and making it easier to find is going to have to improve. UGC libraries will be a growth area.

Your digital round up next year might include a personal carbon footprint. Creating genAI images that demand the energy of 600 Google searches might be heating the sea faster than heat you can warm your dinner. Imagine if you https://coauthor.studio roundup reported on you content's energy usage. This might sound UNfun but let it be known that every Office 365 account has a productivity analyser and we are not ready to start to doing productivity comparisons yet, REPEAT we are not ready!

That's a taster of my prediction for technology and work next year. Want to hear the news from ivity and what I have in store to help supplier happier and healthy work life with your tech, let me know here .

Wishing you all a Happy Healthy and prosperous New Year.
